Promoting Body Wellness

Procovry was created in 2021 to help fill a void in our community. Santa Barbara is known for its active lifestyle, but with exercise comes aches, pains, and musculoskeletal injuries.  At Procovry, our goal is to help our clients and patients pursue their fitness endeavors and function to the best of their abilities. We use evidence-based modalities and techniques to help reduce pain and increase mobility.

Whether you're a professional athlete or a weekend warrior, we can help you reach your goals.

Meet the Team

Sports Chiropractor (Owner)

Dr. Brandon Johnson, DC, CCSP

Dr. Brandon Johnson, a Santa Barbara native, is a Certified Chiropractic Sports Physician dedicated to optimizing health and performance through evidence-based care. A lifelong athlete and former Division 1 Rugby player at CSU Chico, he earned his B.S. in Exercise Physiology and later graduated Magna Cum Laude with a Doctorate from the Southern California University of Health Sciences. Brandon combines chiropractic care with his expertise in exercise physiology, biomechanics, and sports medicine to support patients of all backgrounds. He’s also the co-founder of Voli Wellness, a supplement company focused on functional drink mixes for active lifestyles. Outside the clinic, he stays active with Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, outdoor adventures, and a passion for nutrition. “I love this city and am forever committed to giving back to the community that raised me!”

Sports Chiropractor

Dr. Jude Hockel, DC

A native of Walnut Creek, CA, Dr. Jude Hockel is a chiropractor dedicated to providing precision treatment. Dr. Jude's own experiences with athletic injuries while playing Division I football at Utah State University led him to pursue a career where he could aid others with similar injuries. After his athletic career, he attended Palmer College of Chiropractic West, where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. In addition to chiropractic, Dr. Jude is an Active Release Techniques® certified provider, he uses a combination of therapies to help a wide array of patients. Outside of Procovry, Dr. Jude maintains an active lifestyle through golf, softball, training and hiking.

Operations Manager

Jordan Johnson

Born and raised in Santa Barbara, CA, Jordan Johnson has always had a passion for movement and wellness. She attended CSU Chico, earning a bachelor's degree in Exercise Physiology with a minor in Nutrition. Her desire to teach and inspire others led her to CSU Long Beach, where she obtained her Multiple Subject Teaching Credential. After completing her education, Jordan returned to her hometown to teach Physical Education, sharing her love for health and fitness with students. In October 2021, she and her husband, co-owner Dr. Johnson, saw an opportunity to create something impactful—leading to the founding of Procovry, a space dedicated to body wellness and fitness recovery. As co-founder and manager, Jordan is committed to helping individuals optimize their performance, recover effectively, and feel their best.

Lead Body Technician

John Dickinson

John is Born and raised in Santa Barbara, attended CSU Chico, graduating with a degree in Kinesiology and exercise science. It is his desire to help others see tangible results. He is additionally a Licensed massage therapist receiving his hours and training from the Santa Barbara body therapy institute. When not working, he enjoys snowboarding, exercising, weightlifting and watching football. His goal is to help clients not only improve with wellness, but their quality of life as well so that they can feel their very best.

Body Technician

Adrien Lape-Hoyle

Adrien was born and raised in Santa Barbara and brings a deep passion for health and wellness to his work as a massage therapist. With a strong background in bodywork, he’s committed to helping others feel and function at their best. Outside the clinic, Adrien stays active by surfing, hitting the gym, and cooking up delicious meals. A fun fact most people don’t know? As a teenager, he joined a circus and toured around Alaska—an adventure that sparked his love for movement, connection, and creative expression.

Body Technician

Ian Finn

Ian is a licensed massage therapist and certified personal trainer with a passion for movement, recovery, and problem-solving. He also holds a BS in Mechanical Engineering and Materials Science, which has strengthened his critical thinking and problem-solving skills. He uses this analytical approach to assess movement patterns, identify imbalances, and develop effective strategies for improving mobility, reducing pain, and enhancing overall well-being through therapeutic massage. His practice combines scientific knowledge with hands-on techniques to help clients optimize movement and prevent injuries. Outside of work, Ian stays active through hiking, mountain biking, surfing, lifting heavy things and basketball. He also enjoys trying new activities that challenge him physically and expand his understanding of movement. Always curious, he continues to explore new methods to support health, fitness, and long-term wellness. His current favorite fact about the human body? The muscles in your eyes move about 100,000 times a day!

This technique utilizes negative pressure (vacuum suction) to promote blood flow and reduce muscular tension.

Sports Massage

This technique is used to release trigger points and knots by moving a muscle from a shortened position to a lengthened position under sustained pressure.

Electric Stimulation

This technique utilizes an electronic impulse coupled with damp hydrocollator heat to create mild muscular contractions, resulting in decreased muscle tightness and nerve pain.

Scraping

This technique is used to improve fascial glide, helping reduce pain and promote healing to the affected area.
